Lights (not) Out
We are officially fully lit...the street I mean, I mean the lights on the street are all lit. The missing lamp at #29 has been replaced and is operating, and the lamp at #131 has been replaced and is also operating. Thanks to the city/National Grid for fixing these.
For the record, we received the official "case closed" email on the #29 light on October 20 (request was submitted on Sept 22), but we noticed that the light was functioning a few days before this (around the 15th of October). The other light was reported on October 9, and was working again by last week (October 20).
On our strolls around town, we noticed at least one light out on Crescent (near Parkside, between Parkside and Colvin)...Any residents over there listening?

Lights: Round 2
As of October 9, still no action on the light at 29 Tillinghast. The request was submitted on Sept 22, so we'll see how long it will take...
There is a light out near the Parkside end of Tillinghast, Pole #131, and that has been reported as well.

Street Lights

As the days get shorter, it is important that all of our streetlights are working properly...especially with Trick or Treating just a few weeks away, and the start of the annual Tillinghast Place Christmas Caroling evenings just around the corner...
So, if there is a light out in front of you house, you can either email us at TillinghastPlace.gmail.com or just go to http://www.city-buffalo.com:8080/Ef3/General.jsp?form=SS_StreetLights&page=SS_Auth and fill out the form.
FYI, We have already reported the missing light in front of 29 Tillinghast Place, the response date is supposed to be Oct 6. We will update when we know more.

Tillinghast Place Garage 4 Sale?
Well, not a garage for sale, but rather a garage sale...
Is there any interest in participating in a garage sale for the whole street? Efrat Forgette is soliciting feedback on this. If you are interested in selling your stuff at such an event, please post a followup comment or email me at:TillinghastPlace@gmail.com
The possible dates would be Saturday June 6 or Saturday June 20.
C'mon, you must have an old pair of skis or an antique tiffany lamp you want to get rid of.

57 Tillinghast Place for sale
It seems that 57 Tillinghast Place is on the market again, at least unofficially...For those of you who don't remember, this is the Davidson House, Tillinghast Place's own Frank Lloyd Wright-designed house. Also, for those memory-challenged types, the house was at the center of a swirl of controversy about a year ago (so long ago?!) regarding its use as a short-term rental - a B&B but no B(reakfast).
The house is currently owned by The Davidson House LLC.
No word yet on the asking price, but if anyone knows, please post a comment, or email.

Bulls Bowl
While not specifically Tillinghast Place related, I thought a couple of pictures from the International Bowl wouldn't hurt. I took these just before the game and then the Bull's first offensive possession. Unfortunately for UB, their offense was not, well, offensive. Or maybe it was. Anyway, UB lost its first ever Bowl game. But it was a fun experience just the same. And, we weren't the only Tillinghasters at the game...
